In April Yevhen Stankovych finished the work above the Second concerto for cello and orchestra.
It consists from two parts: "Music for Martochka" and "Postlude and grandfather's monologue...". The parts names show us very clear whom we have to be grateful for Concerto's appearance.
On the 11 - 18th of April ІV International Instrumental Yevhen Stankovych Competition took place in Kiev.
It gathered over 400 participants. The event's major prize, the Angel's Touch bronze statue, went to Alina Shevchenko, violinist from Lviv. Grand Prix in the "Piano with orchestra" category was awarded to Valentyn Kisilenko (Kyiv). Grand prix in the "String instruments" nomination went to Chamber Orchestra of Kirovohrad Music College.

On the 5th of May "Evenings on a Farm Near Dikanka" performance, the renewed version of Stankovych's "Christmas Eve" ballet, premiered in 2015, took place at National Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Kiev.
Staging by: Allin Vlasenko (Conductor), Viktor Litvinov (Balletmaster), Maria Levitska (Director of scenography).
February 9 - 12, 2017 in Svalyava, the Stankovych's homeland, the International festival "Stankovych Fest" will be held. The composer will chair the jury.
According to the Organizers, it will become a prominent event in the cultural life of Ukraine.
